Technology That Brings Real Control to Logistics Operations

Technology That Brings Real Control to Logistics Operations

Logistics is a business where the margin for inefficiency is razor thin. Fuel costs, driver time, delivery windows, warehouse space, vehicle downtime every one of these has a direct cost attached to it. And in India’s logistics landscape, the complexity is even higher fragmented road networks, variable infrastructure, diverse last-mile conditions, and a customer base that expects real-time visibility and same-day delivery as standard.

At Web Chip Armor, we work with logistics companies, freight forwarders, fleet operators, 3PL providers, and supply chain teams to build the technology systems that bring real operational control route optimisation, live tracking, warehouse automation, demand forecasting, and the kind of data visibility that lets you make decisions before problems become crises. We build for the complexity of Indian logistics, not around it.

Where Logistics Businesses Are Losing Money Right Now

The logistics companies we talk to are almost always dealing with the same set of problems they just show up in different combinations. Routes that aren’t optimised, so fuel spend is higher than it needs to be. Vehicles sitting idle or breaking down because maintenance is reactive rather than planned. Customers calling in for delivery updates because there’s no real-time tracking. Warehouses running on manual processes that slow fulfilment and create picking errors. And a management team making decisions on data that’s twelve hours old.

These are expensive problems not just in direct cost but in customer satisfaction, contract renewals, and the ability to scale without proportionally scaling headcount. The right technology solves them. Not theoretical technology practical systems that work in the operational environment you actually have, with the data you actually collect, and the teams you actually run.

What We Build for Logistics & Transportation

Fleet Management and Real-Time Tracking Systems

We build fleet management platforms that give operations teams complete live visibility over their vehicles location, speed, route adherence, fuel consumption, and driver behaviour from a single dashboard. Whether you run ten vehicles or ten thousand, the system scales with you and integrates with the GPS and telematics hardware you already have.

Real-time GPS tracking with live map visualisation

Route adherence monitoring and deviation alerts

Driver behaviour tracking harsh braking, speeding, idle time

Fuel consumption monitoring and theft detection

Vehicle utilisation reports and fleet performance analytics

Integration with existing GPS hardware Teltonika, Concox, TrackSolid, and others

AI Route Optimisation

Manual route planning is slow, inconsistent, and expensive. Our AI route optimisation systems calculate the most efficient routes across multiple variables simultaneously traffic conditions, delivery time windows, vehicle capacity, driver hours, and fuel cost in seconds. The result is fewer kilometres driven, more deliveries per vehicle, and delivery windows you can actually commit to.

Multi-stop route optimisation across hundreds of delivery points

Real-time rerouting based on live traffic and road condition data

Time-window constrained routing for scheduled deliveries

Vehicle capacity and weight constraint handling

Driver shift and hours-of-service compliance integration

Fuel cost and carbon emission optimisation modes

Predictive Maintenance for Vehicles and Equipment

Unplanned vehicle breakdowns are one of the most expensive things that can happen in logistics the direct repair cost is the smaller part of the problem. The missed deliveries, the customer penalties, the emergency coverage arrangements, and the reputational damage are what really hurt. We build predictive maintenance systems that flag vehicles approaching failure before they break down, so maintenance is planned and downtime is scheduled rather than sudden.

Vehicle health monitoring using OBD and telematics data

Failure prediction models for engine, brakes, tyres, and key components

Automated maintenance scheduling and service alert workflows

Maintenance cost tracking and total cost of ownership reporting

Integration with workshop management systems for seamless work order creation

Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)

A warehouse running on spreadsheets and manual processes is a warehouse that can’t scale. We build warehouse management systems that bring order to inbound receiving, storage location management, picking, packing, and dispatch reducing errors, improving throughput, and giving you real-time inventory visibility that your team and your customers can rely on.

Inbound receiving and put-away workflow automation

Bin and location management with barcode and QR scanning

Pick list generation and optimised picking path routing

Packing verification and dispatch confirmation workflows

Real-time inventory visibility and low-stock alerting

Integration with TMS, ERP, and e-commerce platform order feeds

Demand Forecasting and Load Planning

Logistics capacity planning without accurate demand forecasting means you’re either scrambling to find vehicles and drivers at peak times, or running underutilised capacity during quiet periods. Both are expensive. We build demand forecasting models that predict shipment volumes by lane, by client, and by season so capacity planning is proactive rather than reactive.

Shipment volume forecasting by lane, region, and client

Seasonal demand modelling and peak period planning support

Vehicle and driver capacity planning tools based on forecast demand

Load optimisation maximising fill rates per vehicle per trip

Freight rate optimisation based on demand-supply signals

Customer-Facing Tracking and Communication

Customers want to know where their shipment is. Not when they call in to ask in real time, on their phone, without any friction. We build customer-facing tracking portals, automated delivery notification systems, and self-service exception management tools that reduce inbound calls, improve customer satisfaction, and create the kind of delivery experience that wins contract renewals.

Real-time shipment tracking portals for B2B and B2C customers

Automated SMS and WhatsApp delivery notifications and ETA updates

Proof of delivery capture digital signature and photo confirmation

Delivery exception alerting and self-service rescheduling tools

Customer SLA performance dashboards and reporting

Supply Chain Analytics and Operations Dashboards

Most logistics operations are making decisions on data that’s fragmented across multiple systems, often outdated by the time it reaches the people who need it. We build unified analytics dashboards that consolidate data from your TMS, WMS, fleet systems, and customer platforms giving leadership and operations teams the visibility they need to manage performance and respond to problems in real time.

Unified operations dashboard across fleet, warehouse, and delivery performance

On-time delivery rate tracking and SLA breach alerting

Cost per delivery and cost per kilometre analytics

Why Web Chip Armor for Logistics & Transportation?

We understand Indian logistics specifically

Indian logistics is not the same as logistics elsewhere. The road infrastructure, the last-mile complexity in tier-2 and tier-3 cities, the diversity of vehicle types, the role of small fleet operators, and the specific APIs of Indian logistics aggregators are all different. We build for these realities not for a logistics technology playbook designed for Europe or the US that needs to be heavily adapted before it's relevant here.

We build systems that work in the field, not just in the office

Driver apps need to work on mid-range Android phones with intermittent connectivity. Warehouse scanning systems need to work in environments that aren't ideal for technology. Tracking systems need to handle GPS signal gaps and network dropouts without losing data. We design for the operational environment your teams work in, not a clean lab environment.

We connect your data across systems

Most logistics businesses have data sitting in multiple disconnected systems a TMS here, a WMS there, a fleet tracking platform that doesn't talk to either. We build the integrations and the analytics layer that brings all of it together into a single coherent view. The decisions that matter in logistics depend on data from multiple systems we make sure you can see it all in one place.

We measure what matters cost and delivery performance

In logistics, the metrics that matter are straightforward: cost per delivery, on-time rate, vehicle utilisation, and customer SLA adherence. Every system we build is instrumented to measure these things from day one. You'll know whether the technology is working because you'll see it in the numbers.

We scale with you

Whether you're running a regional operation or building toward national scale, the systems we build are designed to grow with your fleet and your volumes. We don't build something that works for fifty vehicles and falls over at five hundred. Scale is a requirement we design for from the start.

Frequently Asked Questions

We already use a third-party TMS can you integrate with it or build around it?

In most cases, yes. We assess what APIs and data export options your existing TMS supports and build integrations where it’s practical. Where the existing system is too limited or too expensive to extend, we’ll tell you honestly and explain what a replacement or supplementary custom system would involve. We don’t push a full replacement if integration is the right answer.

Our drivers use basic Android phones will your driver app work reliably on them?

Yes, and this is something we design for explicitly. Our driver apps are built lightweight, tested on mid-range Android devices, and designed to handle poor connectivity including offline mode for capturing proof of delivery and syncing when connectivity is restored. A driver app that only works well on a flagship phone is not fit for purpose in Indian logistics.

How accurate is your route optimisation for Indian roads?

It depends on the quality of the map data and traffic data available for your operating geography. For urban and semi-urban routes with good map coverage, our optimisation delivers consistent fuel and time savings. For rural routes with limited map data, we work with what’s available and use historical route performance data to improve results over time. We’re honest about the limitations rather than overpromising on accuracy.

How long does it take to implement a fleet management and tracking system?

A fleet tracking and management platform covering live tracking, route monitoring, driver behaviour, and basic reporting typically takes eight to twelve weeks to build and deploy. A more comprehensive system adding route optimisation, predictive maintenance, and warehouse management typically takes four to six months. We give you a realistic timeline after understanding your fleet size, existing systems, and integration requirements.

Can your system integrate with Indian logistics aggregators like Shiprocket or Delhivery?

Yes. We have experience integrating with Shiprocket, Delhivery, Ecom Express, and other Indian logistics platform APIs for order tracking, label generation, and shipment status updates. If you work with aggregators that have limited or undocumented APIs, we work with what’s available scraping and webhook approaches where necessary and we’re transparent about the limitations those approaches create.
